The prestigious Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) and Wezmart International Berhad, a leading provider of corporate advisory and regulatory technology (A-RegTech), is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize both parties’ commitment to mutual growth, knowledge exchange, and industry advancement, with a focus on preparing emerging students for the digital era.

MoU: Bridge To Skill Sets

Wezmart International will be a vital source for learning about regulatory technologies and industry best practices for TAR UMT students. The signing of this MoU is an important step forward for TAR UMT, and these partnerships have a lot of growth potential. He also thinks that employees and students will benefit from Wezmart’s internally developed digital solution, BPOSA360 Digital Workspace.

Wezmart’s Involvement In Building Skilled Graduates

Wezmart and TAR UMT aim to provide adequate knowledge and skills needed for the students to thrive in a technology-driven work culture through workshops, seminars, and practical sessions. They will also offer internship opportunities for TAR UMT’s Faculty of Accountancy, Finance, and Business staff and students to obtain real-world experience in the regulatory technology industry as per the MoU.

Hub for Innovation and Exploration

Both parties will jointly establish a Research and Development Centre at TAR UMT which shall serve as a hub for innovation and exploration of regulatory technology solutions. Wezmart and TAR UMT believe that this strategic partnership will benefit the relevant industries by raising graduates’ awareness of the value of digital adoption and preparing them for the technologically advanced environment of their fields.

By creating graduates who are prepared for employment or entrepreneurship right out of university, the partnership will also directly address the lack of skilled labor in Malaysia’s company secretary industry.

Wezmart’s participation will help graduates in the accounting, finance, and business departments develop industry-ready skills. These graduates will be equipped not only to find work but also to launch their own businesses and support the nation’s entrepreneurship growth.
